Reduced footprint (only 0.025 mm2) and extremely low power consumption make this ADC a solution of choice for battery-powered applications.
The ADC IP is based on successive-approximation register architecture with internal references generation, programmable output data format and dynamic element matching features. The ADC IP operates with a single supply at 1.2V.
At 1-MSPS sampling rate, this ADC IP features an excellent dynamic performance that includes 68.0 dB SNR and 11-bit ENOB.
Power consumption in active mode is 120 μW and a power down mode reduces consumption to as low as 0.18 μW. By varying the ratio of time spent in the active and power down modes and by scaling down the sampling frequency, a system may trade off throughput for power consumption.
Process node: 55 nm uLP It can also be re-targeted to other process nodes for any analog design where power and space are at a premium
