IC’Alps’ acquisition by SEALSQ Group now complete

News

The entire team is pleased to see the successful conclusion of this acquisition process, which began several months ago.

The official announcement was published on August 4, 2025, and is available here. It is now official, IC’Alps is 100% owned by SEALSQ.

We had the opportunity to communicate this to all our partners, clients, and suppliers, and this message remains fully valid: nothing changes for IC’Alps’ customers  — it’s business as usual.

IC’Alps will remain a French legal entity, with its dedicated team fully committed to delivering on-demand ASIC/SoC design and supply chain management. Our mission as a trusted partner remains unchanged — supporting innovative solutions for demanding markets such as healthcare, automotive, mil/aero, AI, IoT and security. IC’Alps will continue to uphold its high standards, which are backed by our quality certifications and strong partnerships with major foundries.

Furthermore, this integration creates powerful synergies across the semiconductor value chain, combining cutting-edge security IP with proven custom ASIC design expertise. SEALSQ’s portfolio of post-quantum cryptography, secure elements, and root-of-trust technologies perfectly complements IC’Alps’ ability to deliver highly customized, ISO 13485, ISO 26262, IATF16949-compliant and Common Criteria ASICs. Together, we can offer system-level solutions that embed hardware-based security directly into application-specific chips — ideal for end-markets where data integrity, authentication, and functional safety are critical, such as automotive, healthcare, IoT and Industrial.

This collaboration also streamlines development cycles and enhances time-to-market by enabling co-optimized architectures that align silicon design with embedded security from day one. IC’Alps brings deep experience in analog/digital integration, low-power design, and supply chain orchestration, while SEALSQ adds world-class secure firmware, certification pathways, and hardware IP blocks. The result is a vertically integrated offering where performance, safety, and cybersecurity are not trade-offs, but core features — positioning our joint customers to build smarter, safer and more resilient products in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
